SCUBA Diver 1 - The PADI Open Water Diver Course
(May 2012 thru June 2012) - Instructor(s): Jim Consuegra and Scott Peters
This course provides a comprehensive introduction into the sport of recreational scuba diving with a focus on the mastery of diving fundamentals and priority to safety.
Meeting the requirements of the classroom and pool work will qualify a student for an Open Water certification experience with a certified PADI instructor. Successful completion there will result in an industry recognized and accepted certification at the level of Open Water Diver.
Venturetrek schedules several instructor led trips throughout the year and qualifying students can register for any of these.

COURSE MATERIALS & TRAINING EQUIPMENT- Students will each receive the PADI Open Water Manual with Dive Tables (imperial version) and use of diving equipment required for the class.
PREREQUISITES Participants must demonstrate a basic swimming ability, be at least 16 years old, meet the medical requirements associated with diving and have a genuine desire to learn about the amazing sport of SCUBA diving..
